Summer Assignment- Spanish 5 Honors

El verano 2008

BOTH ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.

 

Assignment 1:

Escribe una composición que te describe. Quiero saber quién eres-(tú), cuales son tus intereses, cuales son tus mejores calidades, y lo que esperas hacer en el futuro. La composición me ayudará planear actividades y lecciones basadas en tus intereses, pues, tengo que saber lo que te gusta hacer, y lo que no te gusta hacer. Incluye lo más posible para ayudarme saber un poco sobre tí.

 

 

La composición será 2 páginas en total (doble espacio). La escribirás a máquina- (en la computadora). Necesita una introducción, oraciones y párafos cohesivos, y una conclusión que junta a sus pensamientos. To form accents- you may use whichever word processor you use if you know certain shortcuts. Here is the way I do them. MAKE SURE YOUR NUM LOCK IS ON (on your number pad on the keyboard)- Then, you must hold down the alt key and type in the following number sequences:

Assignment 2- Please read the two attached texts and

complete the following assignments.

  1. Read “El Cabo Montañez” (p. 171-174)  and complete pages 175-176 Activities A & C. Please write in complete sentences for both “C” activities.
  2. Read “Pedro De Candía (p. 188-191)” and complete pages 191-193 Activities A & C.
  3. Write a 1-2 page essay describing one of the main characters. Please compare yourself to one of them and describe how you are alike and different from the character you choose.  

 

YOU WILL GAIN POINTS FOR CORRECTNESS OF GRAMMAR AND SENTENCE STRUCTURE AS WELL AS THE CONTENT OF YOUR COMPOSITION. YOU MAY USE AN ONLINE TRANSLATOR FOR ONE WORD AT A TIME! I ENCOURAGE THE USE OF ONLINE RESOURCES TO COMPLETE SPANISH ASSIGNMENTS. YOU MAY NOT  TRANSLATE MORE THAN ONE WORD AT A TIME- IT IS OBVIOUS WHEN A TRANSLATOR IS USED TO TRANSLATE ENTIRE PHRASES/SENTENCES:
